The Current Campaign

Your gift helps move the mission from idea to organization.

The current GoFundMe campaign is focused on startup costs for Peace & Love Recovery. Funds are intended to support professional nonprofit formation services, required application and filing fees, and the process of pursuing federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.

These early expenses may not be the most visible part of opening a recovery drop-in center, but they create the structure needed for future fundraising, partnerships, responsible operations, and community service.

Current stage: Peace & Love Recovery is still being formed. The services described on this website are planned services and are not yet open to the public.

How Current Funds Help

Building the legal and organizational base.

01

Professional Nonprofit Formation

Support for professional services that help establish the organization with a thoughtful, compliant structure.

02

Application & Filing Fees

Required startup filings and application expenses connected with creating and formalizing the organization.

03

Federal 501(c)(3) Process

Costs associated with pursuing federal tax-exempt status as Peace & Love Recovery builds toward long-term fundraising and community service.

Why Early Support Matters

The first donations help create the structure future programs can stand on.

A strong launch can make it easier to pursue grants, build provider relationships, establish responsible systems, and prepare for the practical costs of opening a welcoming recovery drop-in center.

The long-term vision includes peer support, resource navigation, treatment connections, family support, outreach, and practical help while people work toward their next step. Every stage depends on community trust and sustainable support.

More Than a Donation

Your support can help open doors to future support.

A donor can give money, share the campaign, introduce a community partner, offer professional expertise, sponsor a future need, or help the mission reach people who care about recovery in Broward County.

Donor Questions

What supporters should know before giving.

Is Peace & Love Recovery already a 501(c)(3)?

No. The organization is currently in the startup and nonprofit formation stage, and the current campaign includes costs related to pursuing federal 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Peace & Love Recovery is not representing contributions as tax-deductible at this stage. If tax treatment is important to your gift, please confirm the organization’s current status before donating.

Can I support the mission without using GoFundMe?

Yes. GoFundMe is the current online donation method, but prospective sponsors, funders, in-kind donors, and community partners can use the contact page to discuss other forms of support. A specific giving method should be confirmed before sending funds outside the GoFundMe platform.

What does my donation support right now?
