The Opposite of Addiction is Connection.
Peace & Love Recovery is being built as a safe, welcoming place where people affected by substance use and mental health challenges can be met with dignity, compassion, real support, and help finding their next step.
We Are People Helping People. It’s Our Passion. It’s Our Purpose.
For Families
When someone you love is struggling, you should not have to figure out the next step alone.
Our For Families guide is built for parents, caregivers, and loved ones who are worried about a child, teen, young adult, or adult family member. It walks you through what to do first, how to talk about what you are seeing, what kinds of care may be available, and how referral support can help you connect with the right provider.
You do not need to know the diagnosis, understand every type of treatment, or have the perfect words before asking for help. Start with what you know, and take the next step from there.
Start Here
You do not have to know exactly what kind of help they need.
The family guide can help you understand:
- What to do if the situation feels urgent
- How to start a conversation without judgment
- What information to gather before calling for help
- How different treatment options may fit different needs
- What questions to ask a treatment center
- How referral and resource navigation can help

No shame. No judgment. Simply the next step.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, judgment-free support to people affected by substance use and mental health disorders. We plan to use outreach, peer support, and lived experience to help people feel understood, respected, and connected.
We want someone to be able to walk in feeling overwhelmed and leave knowing that another person listened, cared, and helped them make a real connection to the resources they need.
We are people helping people.
Hope can begin with one conversation, one caring person, and one connection that makes the next step feel possible.
Planned Support
Help that meets people where they are.
The center is being designed around practical support, trusted relationships, and warm referrals that help people connect with services instead of simply being handed a phone number.
Peer Support
One-on-one support, recovery coaching, groups, and workshops built around lived experience.
Treatment Connections
Help exploring detox, residential substance use care, mental health resources, and next-step options.
Resource Navigation
Support navigating housing, healthcare, benefits, transportation resources, and community assistance.
Family Support
Education and support for families and loved ones who are trying to help someone who is struggling.
Community Outreach
Connecting with people in the community, reducing barriers, and helping people understand available pathways.
Education & Prevention
Harm-reduction education, overdose-prevention education, and practical information that supports safer choices.
“You are not alone. We are people helping people.”
Recovery can feel complicated, especially when systems are hard to navigate. The vision for Peace & Love Recovery is simple, build relationships first, then help people connect to the right next step.
Who We Hope to Help
Support for people, families, and loved ones.
This center is being created for people who need connection, guidance, and a place to be treated like a human being.
- People affected by substance use who want help exploring recovery options
- People navigating mental health challenges who need connection to appropriate resources
- Families and loved ones trying to support someone who is struggling
- Anyone who needs help connecting to recovery and community resources
- People returning to the community who may benefit from re-entry support and resource navigation
Connection changes what feels possible.
We want every person who walks through the door to feel seen, respected, and worth the effort it takes to help them connect with support.
